Local artistes show their talents to raise funds;
Rose to fist fight with kids
(Press Conference)
Ms Ma Jia Shen, promotion ambassador of the Charity Carnival (海韵献爱心,温情满天下) (Hai Yun Brings Love & Care) will perform “Swallowing Fire” during the Charity Carnival, while other artistes show off their talents, -all aiming to raise funds for charity. Meanwhile, Rose, who is also the charity’s ambassador, will perform Wing Choon martial arts together with children from the Klang Handicapped Children Centre!
Organized by Hai Yun Production (M) Sdn Bhd, the Charity Carnival will be held on 27 and 28 November 2010, where local and overseas artistes will show their talents to raise funds for the centre.
As promotion ambassador, Ma Jia Shen said she will sing a song about love. “I seldom write commercial songs. I write songs I like to sing. This time around, I will write and sing songs that are easily picked–up by others, so that children of the centre would be able to sing together with me,” she said.
On talent performances, Ma Jia Shen suggested that other singers perform ‘Swallowing Fire’ and ‘Walking the Rope’, but was requested to do it herself. “That would be my last performance. I’d never thought that this would be my first and last performance, haha,” she said jokingly. Reno said it will be a breakthrough in her performance. When asked what she means, she said: “Anything other than singing is a breakthrough for me, haha! I am still discussing with my company on the possibility of performing magic.”
Vick said he would imitate the sound of a chipmunk to amuse the children, while Pei Jet is still considering what to perform. As for Mandy, she said she is not good in singing, so she would show her talent in calligraphy. Serene Chan would play a series of musical instruments and Sacapella dance . Other singers who will also be performing at the Charity Carnival are Hau and Celine Liew.
Charity ambassador Rose Chan, an artist from Hong Kong, who visited the centre in September, will perform the Wing Choon martial arts together with the disabled children.
