Steps in place to ease traffic flow around Tropicana City Mall
|
TRAFFIC congestion around Tropicana City Mall in Petaling Jaya will be a thing of the past soon. An acceleration lane, a distance of between 80m and 90m, adjacent to the last exit of the mall, will be constructed to help motorists exit with ease onto the Sprint Highway.
"This will be finished in three months from commencement once the work permit is granted by Petaling Jaya City Council next week," said Dijaya Corporation Bhd senior general manager Tan Hoi Kwan at a meeting with Malaysian Highway Authority (MHA) officials at MHA's office in Serdang yesterday.
Tan said the acceleration lane will have a width of three metres. Therefore, the LDP highway that will be connected to this lane will have additional signages for on-coming vehicles from NKVE into LDP near Damansara Jaya.

The next step will be the construction of a dedicated 500m lane or a third lane, to enable motorists to drive onto the Sprint Highway fronting the mall.
It is currently a two-lane highway.
"This lane will take six months to complete from commencement once the greenlight from the council is obtained," said Tan.
This lane will begin 200m away from the mall and end at the frontage of the development along the Sprint Highway.
The company is also undertaking the construction of Casa Damansara 3, located near the mall.
