PETALING JAYA: History was made at the main atrium of the Tropicana City Mall recently when, for the first time, a duet football freestyle challenge was held with 32 pairs competing.
The challenge was organised by SportsUnite in collabortion with Milo, Revive and Figos and endorsed by the Asian Football Freestyle Association.

The pairs comprised freestyle enthusiasts from all age groups. It was great to see children as young as 10 from Sports Planet Football Academy joining in the fun.
In line with SportsUnite's vision to promote unity through sports, each pair was encouraged to comprise different races.
"The response was overwhelming, considering that this is the first time we did such an event," said SportsUnite chairman Datuk Dina Rizal.
The winners of the Unity award were a pair appropriately named 1Malaysia Freestyler comprising Raja Badu Shah and Low Yee Ming. They also won the overall second prize.
The grand
prize was RM1,000 cash, mini trophies and sponsors’ products.
The top six pairs freestyled away with cash prizes, mini trophies and sponsored products.
The pairs were given three minutes each to do their tricks and stunts with the ball.
Judging was based on creativity, technical skills, team co-ordination and level of difficulty.
Malaysia's top freestyler Shuhami Khizari aka Dr. Freestyler gave a demonstration before the start of the carnival and was the head judge.
Also present were Milo sports marketing manager Ng Ping Loong, Permanis-Revive sponsorship manager Dinesh Kumar and Asian Football Freestyle Association president Stuart Ramalingan.
RESULTS - Champions : Jerung Freestyler; Runners-up: 1Malaysia Freestyler, 3rd: Double U; 4th: JH; 5th: The Freestyler Crew; 6th: Maji Sonia.
