IT TOOK 910 helium-filled balloons to lift hitz.FM deejay Ean off the ground. In conjunction with the release of the Disney/Pixar’s animated movie Up, people were invited to guess the number of balloons needed to lift the 75kg Ean up to stand a chance to win a trip for two to Australia.

Up he goes:Ean lifted up by the balloons.

The event that took place at the Tropicana Mall in Petaling Jaya attracted a big group of people who came to cheer Ean on.

Ean, who has a fear of heights, initially agreed only to be lifted up to 3m but after much encouragement from the audience, he went up to about 10m high.

Fellow Morning Crew deejay JJ, who was convinced that his feet would not leave the ground, also took the challenge and got a lift of the ground. A few lucky members of the public also got a chance to try out what if felt like to go up in the air tied to balloons.
