A total of 164 couples took part in the largest Marriage Proposal event at Tropicana City Mall recently.

In order to qualify for this event, the public had to submit ideas for the most creative marriage proposal. Shortlisted candidates were then invited to a preview screening of the Sandra Bullock movie The Proposal in the newly-opened GSC Tropicana City.

Grand prize winner Hanson C'ng , who creatively conveyed his love to fiancée Catherine via sign language, walked home with prizes worth over RM15,000, including a specially-designed bridal gown by Carven Ong (worth RM5,800), a two-day on-night stay in Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur Penthouse suite, buffet dinner for two at the Latest Recipe in Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, a Salvatore Ferragamo fragrance set and a Covershots Bridal photography session.

First runner-up was Ngoo Charng Bin who proposed to Thilagambal while Max Ong and Niel Yow were placed third.

Each of these two couples won an evening gown by Carven Ong and prizes by Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur , Salvatore Ferragamo and Covershots.

Best-dressed couple of the day, Muhammad Syarzil and Nurain, walked home with a special prize worth RM2,000.

All participants were rewarded with a Love Pack worth RM1,380, sponsored by Carven Ong, Salvatore Ferragamo Incanto Bliss fragrance, Le Méridien Kuala Lumpur, Golden Screen Cinemas, Chocolate Chapters, Cacao Rich, Covershots and One Red Lily.
