GOLDEN Screen Cinemas (GSC) is celebrating the screening of Transformers: Revenge of the Fallen with a Transformers roadshow.

The roadshow is held at three locations, GSC Tropicana City tomorrow, GSC 1 Utama on Sunday and GSC Dataran Pahlawan Melaka on July 4.

The main highlight of the roadshow will be the Transformers Speed Challenge Contest where the fastest person to change the Transformers toys into the toys’ alter ego wins.

There are two categories in this contest: Category A (for those age 12 years and below) and Category B (age 13 years and above).

Interested participants must register at any of the three GSC cinemas above from 10am to noon. As there are only 15 participants for each category at each cinema, registration will be accepted on a first-come-first-served basis.

There are three stages to the contest. In stage one, the five quickest participants in each category to transform two Transformers toys in 10 minutes will advance to stage two.

There they will challenge each other in their category to transform three Transformers toys within 10 minutes. The fastest will be declared the champion of their respective categories.

In the final stage, the champions of both categories face off to see who can transform four Transformers toys the fastest within 10 minutes and be declared grand champion.

Prizes include Leader Class and Voyager Class Transformers toys from Hasbro, limited edition Transformers premium (courtesy of movie distributor United International Pictures), GSC movie vouchers, Kelloggs Cereals and fun packs, and also Energizer gift packs.

Other activities at the roadshow include Q&A sessions for the chance to win Transformers movie posters and GSC complimentary movie passes.

Catch Optimus Prime as he makes a 20-minute special appearance for photo opportunities at 1pm, 2pm, 3pm and 4pm during the roadshow.

Official Transformers merchandise such as T-shirts (for adults and children) and Transformers 3-D posters are now on sale at Glitters Merchandise stores at GSC Mid Valley, GSC 1 Utama, GSC ­Pavilion KL and in selected GSC cinemas.
